Department of Computer Science

Computer science is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that encompasses the study of computers and computational systems. It involves the exploration of both theoretical principles and practical applications, aiming to understand how computers work, how they can be used to solve complex problems, and how they impact society.Computer science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. The Department of Computer science was established in the year 2016 with Computer Science being offered as a complementary subject of the B.Sc Mathematics course and BA English course. The Department now offers complementary and vocational options for courses offered in the college such as B.Sc Mathematics and  B.A English. The department promotes a student-centered approach for teaching through seminars, presentations, project work, assignments and ICT supported learning methods. 

The department has achieved good academic excellence throughout these years. The department regularly conducts Seminars and Invited Talks in Computer Science and related latest technologies by eminent resource persons which provides a platform for the students to get an insight of the subject besides the prescribed curriculum and to expose them to experts in the world of Computer science.

The department follows student centric policies and students are encouraged to take up new and socially relevant projects. The faculty make use of modern technology enabled pedagogy tools for efficient teaching learning in blended mode. The department alumni work in reputed IT industries and academic institutions.
