Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is the youngest among the sister-departments of the college. The department aims at spreading value based education and developing an aptitude for research focusing on the subject in its purity. The department uses innovative teaching practices and advance learning techniques to help the students choose the best career option in the field of Economics. The department offers various activities like seminars, group discussions, budget analysis and open forums to enhance the creative thinking of our students. It offers lecture series by erudite professors of various Universities in India and abroad. To avail practical knowledge in the field of Economics, the department organizes industrial visit, farm visit and field trips. To develop an interest in the field of social science research, the department looks forward to frequently conduct economic surveys in both rural and urban areas.
